2018年に来日後、金融予測やモデリングに幅広く携わり、データの汎用性に興味を持つ。
多くの企業・組織が直面する業務上の非効率性を目の当たりにし、
その課題を解決するためのAIソリューションを開発したいという思いから、機械学習と深層学習を学ぶ。
2023年6月よりArithmerに入社。

Question 1
入社のきっかけ
At its core, the foundation of our world is built on mathematical and physical logic, and so it naturally makes sense to tackle our societal problems from this angle. I am a very logic-driven person, and Arithmer’s mission resonated with me from the start.
世界の基礎は数学的・物理的な論理の上に成り立っているので、この視点から社会問題に取り組むことは理にかなっています。私は論理的思考の人間なので、Arithmerのミッションは最初からぴったり合っていると感じました。

現在の仕事内容について
I focus on customizing use cases for AI by applying mathematical knowledge and reasoning to the latest available tools.
As an example, I am investigating chatbot/LLM application in database management.
最新の利用可能なツールに数学的知識と推論を適用することで、AIのユースケースをカスタマイズすることです。
ひとつの例として、データベース管理におけるチャットボット/LLMの応用を研究しています。

仕事上で大切にしていること
Especially in AI, where new advancements are being made overnight, I believe it’s very important to take on tasks and challenges that keep me continuously learning new things.
特にAIの分野では、一夜にして新たな進歩がなされるため、常に新しいことを学び続けられるような仕事やチャレンジをすることがとても重要だと考えています。

Finding a way to effectively apply AI technologies to take on environmental issues, such as climate change and disaster prevention.
気候変動や防災などの環境問題にAI技術を効果的に応用する方法を見つけることです。

趣味・特技
Anything music!
Fun facts about me:
-I have played 10+ instruments in a band/orchestra setting (piano, saxophone, clarinet, flute, bassoon, percussion, harmonica, and more)
-I “accidentally” won a talent show playing dueling pianos with a friend (we were not contestants, only the “special performance” act but we somehow won anyway)
-I was ranked top 10 in the world in the now discontinued rhythm arcade game crossbeats REV.
音楽なら何でも！
実績：
– バンドやオーケストラで10以上の楽器を演奏したことがある。（ピアノ、サックス、クラリネット、フルート、ファゴット、パーカッション、ハーモニカなど）
– 高校のイベントで友人とデュエル・ピアノを演奏し、たまたま優勝。（私たちは出場者ではなく、「特別出演」をしただけなのに、なぜか優勝してしまった）
– 今は廃盤になってしまいましたが、「crossbeats REV」というリズムゲームで世界10位以内に入った。

好きなもの・こと
Getting lost in nature by hiking paths that are rarely traveled. The west coast of Izu is my favorite place for this — I get off at a random bus stop and hike for 10 to 15 km through the mountains and along the coast before finding the next bus back.
普段あまり通らない道をハイキングしながら、自然の中に溶け込むことです。
なかでも伊豆の西海岸は私のお気に入りの場所です。行き当たりばったりのバス停で降りて、次のバス停を見つけるまで、山や海岸沿いを10～15キロほど歩いたりします。
